Further successful tenders have secured two recent additions to the ever-growing portfolio that Solutions 4 Cleaning already provide service to. Having partnered with Hitachi Zosen Inova to provide cleaning services to their current project of constructing an energy from waste plant (ewp) at Ferrybridge, Solutions have now gone on to secure further work with Interserve who are in the process of building a biomass-fired power plant in Rotherham.
Following on from the successful completion of the first energy-from-waste plant, Swiss technology company Hitachi Zosen Inova quickly received the order to construct the second facility. After a review of the cleaning services required on site, which initially only extended to office space for up to 100 men, Solutions 4 Cleaning were able to discuss the long terms plans and secure a contract to deliver more than 250 cleaning hours per week over the next 3 years. Sam Kerley Director at Solutions 4 Cleaning explains “As they now approach full capacity of almost 1000 men on site it is important that the welfare facility for contractors, labourers and office staff for the site are kept in a clean, usable and maintenance free state”. “Logistically for us that has been about understanding the needs of our customer and getting a good feel for how the site works. The preliminary work carried out by our leading Contract Manager Sandra was invaluable in ensuring we got that right”.
Just as the site at Ferrybridge was getting underway and whilst recruiting for the various roles required there, Solutions 4 Cleaning were then contacted regarding cleaning of the ‘Brite’ power plant at Templeborough. Sam tells us, “We were contacted just before Christmas, and asked to carry out a one off clean of the site that Interserve really needed doing sooner rather than later. Our Sheffield Contact Manager Marta, managed to turn it around very quickly and it was as a result of that we then had discussions for providing on site daily cleaners” “With dedicated cleaners in place, we are able to ensure the site can operate effectively. This entails a further 130 hours per cleaning a week and between the two projects created and secured full time positions for 10 staff.’’
S4C are also servicing Wilmot Dixon on the site of the new Railway College in Doncaster.
Chairman of Solutions 4 Cleaning Kevin Kerley said “2016 was by far our best year to date with sales growth over 20%, and securing these two large contracts at the beginning of 2017 will set the business off to a flying start to make it better still. This is entirely down to the flexibility, drive and expertise shown by the current management team.’’
